Heidi

Heidi Cehan FNP-C

Heidi is a native of Cut Off and resident of Houma. She graduated with her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Nursing from Nicholls State University. Heidi has experience in Family Medicine, Pediatrics, and Urgent Care.

After discussing some health issues with a colleague turned friend, who was a former research nurse, she introduced Heidi to Functional Medicine. Heidi’s friend spoke with her about this different side of medicine that she had never heard of before, and her eyes were opened to root-cause medicine. Heidi has received multiple certifications, as she claims she is a lifetime student.

Heidi is a Diplomate of the American College of Lifestyle Medicine, a Functional Nutrition Counselor through Functional Nutrition Alliance, and a certified lactation consultant through IBCLE. She has attended specialized conferences for pediatric immune health through the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine (A4M).

Heidi plans to pursue further Functional Medicine-specific training through School for Applied Functional Medicine in the future.

Heidi and her husband Joe have three beautiful daughters: Sophie, Isabella, and Anya.
When Heidi is not working or caring for her family, you can find her playing music, singing, sharing fun content on social media, or teaching yoga, as she is a registered yoga teacher as well! Heidi looks forward to serving the Bayou region by providing high-quality patient-centered root cause care so her patients can achieve longevity with grace.
